It all started when…

EcoHaven was founded by owner Autumn Phillips-Lewis in order to provide high-quality professional services to support homeowners and organizations who want to protect and improve the natural world. Autumn is an avid outdoors woman with a passion for caring for natural places and living things. Years of working in the environmental field led Autumn to realize that there was a need for an ecological services company that could provide both the technical expertise and the skilled workforce to create and maintain healthy habitats and provide sustainable access to natural places. Thus, EcoHaven was born! EcoHaven is based in Calvert County, Maryland and serves the trail building, habitat improvement, grant writing, and ecological training needs of the entire mid-Atlantic region. We are a full-service company that can assist our clients through the entire conservation project process- from project design and permitting, to installation and project management. At EcoHaven, we pride ourselves on our tireless work ethic, innovative ideas, and ability to provide high-quality results.

Autumn earned a BS in Environmental Science from Elizabethtown College and a MS in Applied Ecology and Conservation Biology from Frostburg State University. She is a Certified Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional, Certified Pesticide Applicator, and is certified in Wilderness Advanced First Aid. She has professional experience preserving and managing natural landscapes, working with diverse stakeholders to design and implement conservation projects, and securing grant funding for non-profit organizations. Her diverse experiences enable her and her staff to provide unique solutions and services so that everybody’s EcoHaven is achievable.
